Last year was a busy one at Check-in PR. We started, created, pitched, and planned. A lot of nice opportunities crossed our paths: from creating experiences for an urban retreat in Rome and Barcelona to the launch of the first foldable kick-assist E-ped in the Netherlands.
2015 was also the year where we took our first steps into the fresh snow, together with Wintersportweerman Hajo Smit. This cooperation allows us to assist a couple of very cool winter sports destinations with their PR activities for the Dutch market: Zillertal Arena, Les Menuires, Savoie Mont Blanc and Val d’Anniviers. In addition we advised Innsbruck in their PR and media strategy for their spring, summer and autumn activities in the Netherlands.
Both Peter and I love skiing. We know from experience what it is like to enjoy a winter sports holiday in the mountains. However, our new clients showed us that every destination, every ski area and slope has its own story and experience. A freshly prepared slope in the Zillertal Arena is totally different from a slope in Les Menuires and vice versa. The views, the mountain huts and the locals make it a unique experience. For example the hidden restaurant Pepe in Les Menuires where fire torches will guide you back to your car after the most delicious cheese fondue or raclette dinner you can imagine. Or the beautiful enlightened slopes of Zell am Ziller, where you enjoy a unique night ski experience. These stories are stories to be told. And that is exactly what we are going to do: share these experiences with our winter sports ‘friends’ in the Netherlands.
